Saint Taco

SAINT TACO: The Patron Saint of Tacos

27 notes

This weather’s definitely having a positive effect on my speed. Ran a 5k at a 10:17 mi pace last night. Up until last Friday (5k, 10:10 mi), my fastest 5k was 10:16 mi in MAY. Basically right before the weather got hotter than Satan’s asshole. That same run in May was the last time I ran a mile in under 10 minutes (9:46 mi). However, that run was also a trip on the struggle bus all the way to the finish line. By contrast, last night, I felt like I was pushing myself but running at a somewhat comfortable pace. Maybe I am getting better at this running thing after all. I don’t remember thinking that very often when temps were in the 100s,and I was drenched in sweat. Weather, never change.
