SAINT TACO: The Patron Saint of Tacos

18 notes

Oh, ok.  I guess I’ll get back to gardening again.  Pictured above are some of my summer produce, (and nasturtium flower grown from seed :), before whiteflies decimated my garden.  I’ve been pretty depressed about that, and for that reason, haven’t updated my garden blog in over two months.  Womp womp :(.  I grew a lot of my plants from seed, and it was heartbreaking to see so many of them go the way of the dinosaur.  I don’t plan on having human children, so my plant babies are as close as I’ll get.  Time to quit sulking. Get yourself together, Val.

I checked my garden blog’s email account, and found out that I got featured on Earth 911!  Woohoo!  Apparently Northern Virginia Magazine wanted to do a column on my blog as well, but I didn’t check my email in time.  People keep hitting me up to send me free gardening product swag, too; my garage is piling high with unopened boxes of things I need to blog about. Pretty neat, though!  Also, some doctor dude contacted me to meet up and chat about carnivorous plants over coffee.  While I enjoy meeting other plant nerds, I’m going to pass on this one.  Sorry, duder.
